My name is Mother. Composed Mother. Special Agent “00 Don’t Get Angry” with a License for Composure. Cornflakes crunching on the floor, juice poured for the fifth time in a row, difficult negotiations, threats, arguments, shouting, and fights do not affect me at all.
Agent 00
Everything is under control. I am deaf to shouting, I use a variety of tricks and evasions. I know self-defense techniques against whining, complaining, boredom, and anger. I move silently in the dark bedroom. At night, I am alert to any noise or movement. I use a variety of negotiating techniques, heighten my senses, and often improvise.
I am composed despite the bone-chilling situations when a glass is knocked off the table when an attempt is made to climb on a bookcase, when little hands try to catch a wasp sitting on a watermelon, or when little feet decide to run out into the street with no warning.
I keep a stone-coldcheerful face during a tantrum. I apply blockades to any kicking or punching fists and maintain stoic patience towards my opponent.
I am also a master at tracking down crimes of all sorts whether it’s stolen cookies or missing toys. I can easily decipher any lie and do not give in so easily to attempts at extortion. All that until…
I’m Burnt Out
When all the lines are crossed and the situation gets out of hand, I start shooting hostile words, waving my arms like a karate master, and stomping my feet too hard on the floor.I might even throw some innocent object, only to eventually walk out classless, leaving the whole mess behind. My name is Mother. Burnt Out Mother.
I run away because I know I have failed. I seek temporary shelter thinking, “Let someone else take care of this.” It’s time to step back, I’ll fix it later.
Ability Test
I am back, but with no license. There’s another exam ahead of me to get a new one. Maybe this time, I should train. Training is the most important thing. The more opportunities I get, the more I learn. It is good that I still have with me the necessary weaponsof a sense of humor and distance to myself. I always use them when the need strikes. They work like a grenade and a machine gun in one. They smash any anger attacks and disputes into splinters while solving problems instantly without negotiations. It is worth having such a weapon. This is my License for Composure.
Practical and modern gadgets from Q will also come in handy. Practical books should be your quartermaster, which will save you from trouble before you are burnt out. Read the instructions before you use them. Intuition comes in handy too, but it’s easy to make a mistake so it’s better to be prepared. Don’t give up and make sure you train! If you fail again, keep in mind that there is always a chance of resurrection.
